Who We Are

A ministry of Christ Church of Rockville www.CCRMOnline.org

Mission:

·         Oasis Fellowship exists because we believe that the Holy Spirit of God is on mission to rescue and redeem His people, transforming us into the image of Jesus, so that culture begins to take on the image of the Father's Kingdom.

Oasis's Vision:

·         Isaiah 35:3-7 (Msg)

Energize the limp hands, strengthen the rubbery knees. Tell fearful souls,
"Courage! Take heart! God is here, right here, on his way to put things right And redress all wrongs. He's on his way! He'll save you!"

Blind eyes will be opened, deaf ears unstopped, Lame men and women will leap like deer, the voiceless break into song. Springs of water will burst out in the wilderness, streams flow in the desert. Hot sands will become a cool oasis, thirsty ground a splashing fountain. Even lowly jackals will have water to drink, and barren grasslands flourish richly.

·         Oasis's Vision is to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped and empowered for ministry service for God and His kingdom.

.

Oasis's Purpose:

·         Oasis's Purpose is to celebrate God's work in us and through us, connect people to God and each other and lead each individual to contribute their life and resources to ministry activities that will change the world.

Oasis's Priority

·         Oasis's Priority is to show, "We're all about people." We demonstrate our love for God through our love for people, helping each person experience an intimate relationship with God.

Oasis's Values

·         God…We value the enjoyment of Jesus Christ throughout every action in life.  (Duet. 6:4-7; 1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:17)

·         People…We value people as the most valuable aspect of Creation, far surpassing the importance of traditions, institutions, or programs. (Gen. 1:26-27; Mark 7:5-8; 1 John 4:19)

·         World…We value the community of faith around the world and throughout history as God's primary way of revealing himself to people. (Gen. 12:1-3; Matt. 28:18-20; 2 Cor. 5:20)

·         Culture…We value culture as redeemable because every aspect of every culture contains elements of the beauty and harmony of Creation, as well as the perversion of the Fall. (Matt. 7:9-11; Phil. 4:8; Rev. 21:23-27)

·         Community…We value small groups as the unique places where people can share life openly and honestly using their abilities to encourage one another to love, good deeds, and to delight in Christ. (Mark 2:15-17; Acts 2:42-47; Eph. 4:15-16)

·         Lifestyle…We value holy living demonstrated by internal character that is motivated by a love for God and people. (Is. 1:11-17; Matt. 22:36-40; Gal. 5:16-24)
